Тhe municipality of Mineralni bani is located in the East Rodopi Mountain, 280 m above the see level and is placed on the western central part of the Haskovo district. The territory of the municipality is 216, 5 sq. m and it consists of 12 populated places. The center of the municipality is the village of Mineral baths, which is famous with its mineral springs since the ancient times. The municipality of Mineralni bani has a favorable geographical location, which is very important and has significant influence on its development. The municipality is only 11 km from the International road E-80, which connects the West and Central Europe with the Near East and Asia and its 18 km from the district centre – the town of Haskovo.
The municipality possesses extraordinary natural potential for development of sustainable tourist products. The specific mixture of preserved natural conditions and resources in the region is the basic reason for the differentiating of the municipality of the Mineral baths as the most perspective developing resort in Haskovo district.
Despite the municipality of Mineral baths is well known mostly as a balneological resort it also offers excellent conditions for summer, cultural and eco tourism. The number of the tourists, visiting the region on the warm half of the year is increasing with every passing year.
